How to Design a Bottle | Simple Common Process

Hi Guys. How are you all ? I hope you have missed our blog so much. Sorry for the inconvenience due to some personal issues i cannot able to posts and videos. From now onwards i will post every tutorial that how i am doing with the cad.

Today's design is about How to design a Bottle in Onshape.

Steps :

  1. Draw the sketch as shown in the video for better drawing experience. ( You can draw any design it is totally your wish guys.)
  2. Now after drawn the sketch, ok the sketch. Then do revolve operation for the sketch as shown in the video. Therefore you got the bottle design but solid body. 
  3. Now do the Shell operation by selecting the bottle mouth side and give the dimension in the pop-up. Therefore the design is done.
    1. IT IS FOR SIMPLE DESIGN BOTTLE
    2. For bottom design of the bottle skip step 3 and follow the below steps.
  4. Now select the bottom face of the bottle and draw the design where it should be flat to stand the bottle as well as gives some grip. Like as shown in video.
  5. Do the extrude operation and remove the part area. Now fillet the sharp edges at the removed area.
  6. Select circular pattern--in that select feature pattern, then select the features we did are extrude and fillet and select the circular axis as shown in video, then give count as per your wish.
  7. Now repeat the step 3 here. (Note : if you want to add any extra patterns on surface of bottle, first do them and then do shell operation)Then turn on the perspective mode on and fillet the inner sharp edges.
  8. For bottle cap, draw the sketch as shown in the video and do revolve operation as new part.
  9. Finally the bottle design is ready.

I added the surface text in the video. It is a custom feature tool where you can find in add tools icon by searching what ever you want.
