How to Design a Wheel in Onshape

Hi guys, how are you ? Everything is going good ?. Today i bring you an another tutorial to make you interest.

The title of tutorial is " How to Design a Wheel in Onshape." with the voice explanation. Let's get into the tutorial.




Steps to Draw :

  1. Draw the sketch as shown in the video exactly ( dimensions are your wish ).
  2. Draw the shape of the wheel rim ( you can even draw your own shape as like i designed many wheels ).
  3. Now select the required parts of the sketch and do revolve function. Therefore you can see the wheel sample.
  4. Now we need tire. For that re-edit the sketch and draw the dome shape as shown like tire looks.
  5. Now do the another revolve (2nd) with selecting as new part.
  6. Now the wheel design is completed with the tire also.
  7. But we need rim design also. For that offset a plane as shown.
  8. Draw the sketch ( as per your own design sketch ). Now do the extrude function towards the wheel part.
  9. There select "remove" and merge with all options in the extrude pop-up. 
  10. Change the appearance of the parts as your wish.
